It appears former Mayor Goulborne 's intention for running for Regional council was only to further his political career by stating at the mayoral debate he was interested in getting the Regional Chairman's position.
Recently it was revealed the Regional chairman's position would be looked at in December after nominations are received which included some nominations for former Mayor Goulborne It is hard to understand why would those nominate Mayor Goulborne when he was soundly beaten in his run for Regional council?

What would that say to the public if Mr. Goulbourne got a "chair" seat AFTER the people voted - they did not want him as a councillor on the region. Bryon Foley's Letter to the Editor was right on today!!
